Bio

Dr. Anderson earned a BS in Animal Science (1988) and a DVM (1990) at North Carolina State University. He completed an Internship (1990) at the University of Georgia, Residency in Food Animal Medicine, Surgery, and Reproduction at Kansas State University, and earned a MS in Clinical Sciences (1994) at KSU. Dr. Anderson is a board certified specialist in surgery (Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, 1995) and an ACVS Founding Fellow of Minimally Invasive Surgery (Large Animal Soft Tissue). Professional accomplishments include: Fellow, American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS); Fellow, Food Systems Leadership Institute (FSLI); Regional Director of the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners; Large Animal Regent, American College of Veterinary Surgeons; ACVS Founding Fellow of Minimally Invasive Surgery (large animal soft tissue), Founder, International Academy of Farm Animal Surgeons; Founder International Camelid Initiative. Dr. Anderson’s research interests include animal models, biomaterials, translational research, and regenerative medicine.
