Bio

Diana L. Dabdub has over 19 years of association management experience. Diana currently serves as the Director of Admissions & Recruitment Affairs at the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) in Washington, DC. In this role, she develops and implements programs and initiatives related to admissions and recruitment activities at AAVMC member institutions, including oversight of the centralized application system for veterinary medical colleges (VMCAS). Additionally, she serves as project manager/staff liaison on related special projects consistent with the Association’s mission and strategic plan. As the Director, Pharmacy Student Forum for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) in Bethesda, Maryland, she was responsible for growing student membership, cultivating the growth and development of Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacy, and building relationships with faculty at US Colleges of Pharmacy. In addition, she served as staff secretary of the Pharmacy Student Forum and provided leadership to accomplish objectives established by the Forum. Prior to this role, she was a Project Manager for ASHP Advantage, where she was responsible for the coordination and implementation of a variety of educational activities. Before joining ASHP Advantage, Diana was the Membership Program Manager for ASHP. She was responsible for managing numerous Society member recognition awards programs, member affinity programs, a national student clinical skills competition involving nearly 100 teams from colleges of pharmacy nationwide, and served as the staff secretary to a volunteer member advisory group. Previous to ASHP, Diana was the Membership Manager at Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA). She began her career in association management at the Special Libraries Association as the Membership Coordinator. Diana attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, and holds a B.S. in Economics. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), member of the ASAE Gold Circle Awards Committee, and was selected as the ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) Scholar for the class of 2009-2011.
