Pan Dong Ryu is a professor of veterinary pharmacology at College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Seoul National University. He has worked as Dean of CVM, Seoul National University, and President of Asian Association of Veterinary Schools, Korean Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges and Korean Society of Veterinary Medical Education. Currently he is working as a member of Board of Directors, Accreditation Board of Veterinary Education in Korea and Chair of Education Committee, Korean Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges. He has published 170 research papers on neuronal transmission in the hypothalamus and worked as Ddirector of BK21 Program (2006~2011), a national graduate research program. His current interest is to establish a national model of Day-1-Competencies for veterinary education, and to reveal the structure and function of the primo vascular system, a novel tissue known as anatomical substance of the acupuncture meridian.
